Job summary

A leading engineering company is looking for a Senior Engineer in Leeds to ensure the quality of engineering on the site while managing and developing the engineering team. The successful candidate will perform CAD works alongside various engineering tasks. Essential qualifications include a CSCS Card and an HNC or Degree in Civil Engineering. Strong experience in senior roles for civil projects and an understanding of engineering principles are required. This is a freelance position, reporting to the Site Manager.

Qualifications

• CSCS Card is essential.
• Valid Driving Licence required.
• First Aid certification is necessary.
• SSSTS / SMSTS qualification needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality of engineering on site.
• Organise and develop the engineering team.
• Perform CAD works.
• Supervise works and uphold safety standards.
• Manage project quality plan and QA records.

As a Senior Engineer, you will ensure the quality of the engineering on the site whilst organising and developing the engineering team. This role will require lots of CAD works.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

• CSCS Card
• Driving Licence
• First Aid
• SSSTS / SMSTS
• HNC / NVQ or Degree in Civil Engineering or related field

• Microsoft Office

Duties

• CAD
• QA
• RFIs & TQs
• Supervising works
• Ensure site records are accurate and kept up to date
• Production of RAMS and ensured they are followed
• Delegation of engineering tasks on site
• Complete and update programmes (look aheads)
• Setting up and maintaining site control
• Overseeing the setting out on site and organising facilities
• Ensuring compliance with works standards
• Produce Inspection & Test Plans and maintain as built records
• Completion of site inductions and TBTs when needed
• Management of the project quality plan and QA records
• Keep up to date and accurate site diaries & other site admin
• Undertaking Land, Stockpile and Construction Work Surveys
• Checking and Preparing Site Reports, Designs and Drawings
• Liaising With Clients, Subcontractors and Other Professional Staff
• Coordinate site engineering and setting out activities and provide information to subcontractors and site staff
