Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Freelance Remote Planner to manage the scheduling for a commissioning service operation vessel. The role involves building and maintaining the project plan, liaising with various teams, and ensuring deadlines are met. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipbuilding, excellent organizational and leadership skills, and be fluent in English. This is a remote position with an initial contract length of 3 months, starting in February 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning for shipbuilding projects.
• Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Build plan for the construction of the vessel.
• Liaise between different teams to ensure time frames are met.
• Monitor project progress and adjust schedules accordingly.
• Keep Project Delivery Manager updated on progress.

A client of mine is currently searching for a Freelance Remote Planner to work on the scheduling for a commissioning service operation vessel. You will be building the plan and then maintaining it up until delivery.

START: February 2026

LOCATION: Remote

Contract length – Initial 3 month contract Freelance

Hours: 40 hours a week

Planner– Remote– Shipbuilding

Key Responsibilities:

• Build plan for the construction of the vessel up until delivery.
• Liaise between different teams to ensure time frames are met.
• Monitor project progress and adjust schedules accordingly.
• Keep Project Delivery Manager updated on progress, and advise on appropriate action to ensure project delivered on time.

Specification:

• Experience with shipbuilding/shipyards
• Ability to work independently
• Strong organisational skills to build and maintain the schedule up until delivery
