Job description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload materials, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout the facility. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load and unload materials from lorries and storage areas.
• Order Picking heavy Items up to 65KG ( 2 Person Lift )
• Manage inventory using warehouse management systems, ensuring accurate tracking of stock levels.
• Perform routine inspections and basic repairs on forklift equipment to maintain operational efficiency.
• Handle materials with care, adhering to safety protocols during shipping and receiving processes.
• Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and maintain a clean work environment.

Experience

• Previous experience in a warehouse setting is essential, with a strong understanding of materials handling procedures.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts is required; certification is preferred but not mandatory if willing to obtain one.
• Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing basic repairs.
• Basic math skills are necessary for inventory management and record keeping.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift is essential for success in this role.
