Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Stafford is seeking Counterbalance Forklift Drivers. You will operate forklift trucks safely, load and unload deliveries, and maintain cleanliness in the warehouse. Candidates must have a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence and prior warehouse experience. This role offers a pay rate of £13.21 per hour for night shifts from 20:30 to 04:30, Monday to Friday.

Job description

The Best Connection are looking for Counterbalance Forklift Drivers to join our client based in Cannock.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods, pallets and materials within the warehouse and sorting areas, as well as maintaining good housekeeping standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently in accordance with company and site procedures.
• Load and unload deliveries, move stock, and supply materials to production lines as required.
• Carry out pallet movements, put-away, and stock replenishment.
• Perform general housekeeping duties, ensuring the working area remains clean, tidy, and hazard-free.
• Conduct daily pre-use checks on forklift trucks and report any defects or issues immediately.
• Support warehouse and production teams with additional duties as required.
• Follow all health & safety, quality, and environmental policies at all times.

Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (RTITB or ITSSAR accredited).
• Previous experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of safe working practices.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions accurately.
• Reliable, punctual, and proactive approach to work.
