Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Food Safety Officer to join a close-knit Commercial team on an interim basis starting February 2026. The role includes conducting inspections, handling complaints, and potentially managing RIDDORs. Candidates should hold a BSc or MSc in Environmental Health and be EHRB or CIEH registered. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of £40 to £50, with a full-time commitment of 37 hours per week in a hybrid working model for 3 to 6 months.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Environmental Health or Higher Certificate in Food Control.
• EHRB or CIEH registered.
• Up-to-date competency framework.
• 20 hours CPD (minimum 10 hours core in Food).

Responsibilities

• Conduct CAT A - E inspections.
• Respond to complaints.
• Manage RIDDORs (not essential but advantageous).
