Job summary

A leading logistics company based at Manchester airport is seeking Counterbalance FLT Drivers for a full-time position. Responsibilities include loading and unloading vehicles, building and breaking down aircraft pallets, and driving the forklift for part of the shift. Candidates must have a valid Counterbalance FLT License and ideally some warehouse experience. This role offers a competitive pay of £13 per hour with opportunities for overtime. Full training is provided and there’s a supportive team available for assistance.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Counterbalance FLT License.
• Experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
• Physical fitness required to manually lift heavy items.

Job Overview

Counterbalance FLT Drivers required working Mon-Fri for a leading logistics company based at Manchester airport with free parking onsite, Temp to Perm with set shifts!! Own transport is essential.

Hours & Shifts

PM: 4pm-1am (Apply online only) – Monday to Friday with one hour unpaid break.

Pay Rate

£13 per hour + overtime over 40 hours per week paid at x1.5 rate (£18.00 per hour).

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Building and breaking down aircraft pallets (manual handling)
• Driving the FLT approx 30% of the time
• A performance driven operation with tight deadlines

Requirements

• Valid and in date Counterbalance FLT License
• Warehouse Operative experience ideally
• Ability to work in a targeted environment
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, and be physically fit to manually lift heavy items
• Excellent attention to detail
• Own transport due to no public transport will run at 1am from this location
• Basic DBS check and provide verifiable 5 years worth of employment/education history as part of the process. This is free of charge as Meridian Business Support cover the cost.
