The Opportunity

We are seeking a Floor Coordinator to support with duties conducted in our Operating Theatres at Dudley Private Hospital and Ramsay Surgical Centre Orange. Our Theatre Department offers an extensive range of surgical services across 8 fully equipped operating this pivotal role you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of theatre operations ensuring smooth workflow optimal patient care and effective communication among multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities
  • Support and contribute to planning implementing and evaluating care practices processes and services.
  • Ensure compliance with policies procedures and legislative requirements to uphold best practices.
  • Collaborate with Shift Leaders and Clinical Managers to achieve excellence in care delivery.
  • Lead and inspire a dedicated team of nurses to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Work closely with on-shift doctors to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adherence to best practices.
  • Reporting to the Theatre Manager you will contribute to strategic goals and objectives of the department.
Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will be a positive and effective leader with the ability to motivate others. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to coordinate and motivate a large team of clinical and non-clinical professionals.

Essential Criteria
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 3 years nursing experience within the theatre complex
  • Understanding of scope of practice in line with registration and knowledge of legislative requirements
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team and independently as required
  • Knowledge and commitment of Quality / Continuous improvement process
  • Ability to mentor and impart knowledge to educate the support staff
  • Availability across a 5 day roster.
Desirable Criteria
  • Specialty Certificate / Diploma or other post-graduate study relevant to specialty area
  • Computer skills in the Microsoft office and patient management system
  • Experience in policy development
