Job summary

A healthcare organization in Bolton is seeking a full-time Band 8A Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join their Clinical Health Psychology team. This permanent role focuses on providing psychological assessments and interventions for patients in cardiac care, young person diabetes, and general health issues. Applicants should hold a relevant doctorate, be registered with the HCPC, and possess experience in assessing and treating psychological conditions in various NHS settings. Qualifications

  • Post-graduate Doctorate accredited by the BPS.
  • HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Experience of specialist psychological assessment across NHS care settings.
  • Experience working with a variety of client groups across the lifespan.
  • Experience in teaching, training, and/or supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist psychological assessments of Cardiac patients.
  • Undertake assessments and therapeutic work in challenging situations.
  • Formulate and implement plans for psychological treatment.
  • Provide clinical supervision to colleagues and participate in training.
  • Contribute to the multi-disciplinary team's work including clinics.
