Description
Priory Hospital Woodbourne is looking to recruit a Fixed Term Deputy Ward Manager 4/6 Months to join the team. This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours, this is also a fixed-term role of 4/6 months.

Our specialist addiction facility, The Manor Ward, is where our team deliver exceptional levels of treatment and care to our patients. We pride ourselves on placing you at the heart of your recovery journey, helping you to achieve the best possible outcomes. All treatment is tailored to your individual needs and structured within National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.

  • Works as Senior Nurse in a Ward or equivalent area ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, their families and visitors.
  • Apply relevant policies and statutory requirements within the ward and hospital framework of governance and communicates requirements to the wider team.
  • Ensures that risk is assessed and managed across the immediate and wider working environment and that statutory requirements are met.
  • Respects and applies the requirements of diversity and inclusion, promoting and role modelling these across the team.
  • Identifies deficits in skill mix and safe staffing levels and acts to address these
What you'll bring to the role

Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows. The successful candidate will hold active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, including meeting all revalidation requirements, and be a trained assessor/supervisor. Clinical supervision experience is essential, and additional training in this area is desirable. We expect clear evidence of continued professional development and a commitment to leadership growth. Good computer skills are required. Ideally, the candidate has 18 months to 2 years of post-registration experience, with demonstrable expertise within a clinical specialty.
