Overview

Five Associate Professorships or Professorships of Computer Science (with Non Tutorial Fellowships). Department of Computer Science, Wolfson Building, Parks Road, Oxford. Salary on the Associate Professor Scale (plus substantial benefits including college allowances).

As part of our expansion, the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oxford is seeking to appoint five full-time Associate Professors or Professors of Computer Science to start on 1 September 2026. Each post is associated with a Non Tutorial Fellowship at Kellogg College.

Responsibilities
  • Undertaking original research in Computer Science, securing research funding and disseminating research through publication in high-quality scholarly journals and conferences.
  • Teaching and student supervision, along with College duties.
  • Contribute to teaching predominantly at graduate level on our Part-Time MScs.
Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
  • Proven research track record of internationally high quality in Computer Science.
  • Experience of teaching Computer Science (or closely related subjects) with the ability and willingness to teach effectively, at graduate level, a wide variety of Computer Science topics.
Appointment details
  • Three positions are for research within the area of Artificial Intelligence. One position is for research with Systems of Security. The research area for the final post is unconstrained.
  • The Professors will teach predominantly at graduate level on our Part-Time MScs.
  • All appointments are on the Associate Professor scale with Non Tutorial Fellowships at Kellogg College.
