Role & Responsibilities

Installation, maintenance, and inspection of passive fire protection measures, including fire stopping around penetrations, service ducts, and structural openings.

  • Assessing and repairing defective or damaged fire stopping systems to ensure compliance with building regulations and industry standards.
  • Carrying out site surveys to identify fire safety risks and recommending appropriate remedial actions.
  • Maintaining accurate records of installations, repairs, and inspections.
  • Adhering to health and safety protocols, using PPE, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Traveling to multiple sites as required, ensuring high-quality workmanship at all times.
Experience & Skills
  • Proven experience in fire stopping, passive fire protection, or related building safety work.
  • Solid understanding of fire safety regulations, building regulations, and fire-resistant materials.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • A full UK Driving Licence or equivalent (required).
  • Health & Safety awareness and experience working safely on-site.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Firestop Competency Certification or equivalent (Desirable).
  • Passive Fire Protection Training (Desirable).
  • CSCS Card (Desirable).
  • PASMA, IPAF, or other relevant site access qualifications (Desirable).
