Overview

We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading healthcare provider for an experienced Fire Safety Advisor to oversee fire safety strategy, compliance, and risk assessments across a complex hospital estate. This is a critical role requiring hands-on expertise in fire risk management within hospital environments, ensuring safety standards are upheld and aligned with healthcare regulations and best practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead fire safety across hospital sites, including the development and implementation of fire safety policy
  • Manage and carry out Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) across hospital buildings
  • Provide fire safety training, advice, and guidance to staff and contractors
  • Investigate fire incidents and ensure robust reporting, learning, and improvement processes
  • Ensure compliance with Fire Safety Order, HTM standards, and broader H&S legislation
  • Liaise with external fire authorities and internal stakeholders to maintain a safe healthcare environment.
What You'll Need
  • NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety (or equivalent)
  • Significant experience working in hospital or large healthcare estates
  • Proven track record managing and delivering FRAs in healthcare settings
  • Strong knowledge of fire and health & safety legislation, including HTM and NHS-specific requirements
  • Excellent communication and report writing skill
