Job summary

A leading national fire safety service provider is seeking a Fire Risk Assessor to conduct comprehensive fire risk assessments and provide expert advice on fire safety compliance. The ideal candidate will have a Level 4 Diploma and at least 2 years of experience in Type 1 & 3 assessments. Qualifications

Overview

Fire Risk Assessor role with a leading national fire safety service provider. This is a permanent staff position offering a competitive package and fully expensed vehicle.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive fire risk assessments in line with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
  • Identify fire hazards and assess risks to people and property
  • Review existing fire safety measures including escape routes, alarms, and firefighting equipment
  • Produce clear, professional assessment reports with actionable recommendations
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on fire safety compliance
  • Assist in the development and implementation of fire safety management plans
  • Stay up to date with fire safety legislation, standards, and industry best practice
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Based in the Midlands region with flexibility to travel across the UK
  • Strong knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality reports
  • Membership of a professional body (e.g., IFE, IFSM)
  • Knowledge of passive and active fire protection systems
Qualifications
  • Level 4 Diploma in Fire Risk Assessment or equivalent recognised qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience conducting Type 1 & 3 fire risk assessments
