Working hours
  • Full-time – 8:30 – 4:30
  • Hybrid (days in office vary)
  • Overnight stays may be required (Expenses paid)
The successful Fire Engineer Consultant will be offered
  • A basic salary between £70,000 – £85,000

To be considered for the Fire Engineer Consultant role, you must have :

  • UK Driving License
  • Must be flexible to commute to various areas in the UK, which can include but not limited to; Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Greater London, Bedfordshire…
  • Degree in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering, Fire Engineering Science or related.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK Building Regulations, British Standards and Wider Engineering Codes.
  • Strong communication skills, written or verbal.
  • Experience using fire engineering design and analysis tools (i.e smoke evacuation modelling software)
  • Proven experience in developing fire strategies for complex or high-value building projects.
  • Previous Post-Graduate Experience Essential.
As a Fire Engineer Consultant, your role will involve
  • Undertaking fire risk assessments and developing detailed fire engineering strategies for new build, refurbishment, and change-of-use projects.
  • Ensure fire safety compliance through detailed understanding and application of UK Building Regulations, British Standards and relevant international codes.
  • Advise on escape routes, evacuation strategies, fire service access and structural fire resistance, while assisting clients in negotiations with fire authorities, building control, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare clear technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with building surveyors.
  • Work collaboratively with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and approving authorities to deliver fully compliant, fire-safe building designs.
