Job summary

A reputable contractor in Tyseley is seeking an experienced FRA Carpenter for remedials. The ideal candidate will have at least NVQ level 2 in Carpentry and Joinery, along with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in fire door remedials. Responsibilities include installing and maintaining fire doors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and collaborating with other trades. This position offers a temp ongoing contract with the possibility of becoming permanent and is located in Birmingham and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Qualified to a minimum NVQ level 2 Carpentry and Joinery.
• Experience of 1-2 years on fire door remedials.
• Possession of a full current UK Driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain fire doors according to regulations.
• Retrofit and upgrade existing fire doors for compliance.
• Apply fireproofing materials to doors and frames.
• Ensure certification and compliance of fire doors.
• Maintain records of installations and repairs.
• Collaborate with engineers and trades for compliance.
