Qualifications

  • Experience with financial consolidation, planning, budgeting, and reporting using Tagetik.
  • Familiarity with data modelling and ETL processes.
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the go-to expert for Tagetik, resolving system queries and issues.
  • Ensure accurate month-end and year-end reporting.
  • Lead system improvements including intelligent forecasting.

We’re recruiting for a Financial Planning Systems Accountant to join our Finance team based at our Coventry city centre head office, to support and enhance Severn Trent’s Budget, Planning & Consolidation (BPC) system Tagetik.

The role reports to our Finance Systems and Controls Manager, and we’re looking for someone who will ensure the smooth operation across budgeting, forecasting, month-end, and year-end processes, as well as collaborating with our Finance and Business Planning teams to deliver accurate and efficient financial reporting.

Our focal point is to ensure Tagetik becomes our primary reporting tool across Severn Trent, and you will play a significant role in this implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the go-to expert for Tagetik, resolving system queries and issues.
  • Configure and implement Tagetik modules for consolidation, planning, and reporting.
  • Ensure accurate month-end and year-end reporting in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage system admin tasks: ETLs, user access, licenses, and renewals.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes with tailored data workflows and outputs.
  • Lead system improvements, including intelligent forecasting and modelling.
  • Train and support Tagetik users, sharing best practices and documentation.

Experience:

  • Tagetik modules: financial consolidation, planning, budgeting, and reporting
  • Building workflows, data modelling, ETLs, calculation logic, AIH analytical workspaces, and TQL scripting in Tagetik
  • Financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and consolidation processes
  • Data modelling and ETL processes
  • Working collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve results
  • Proactively identifying and resolving issues independently
