The role is central to driving the finance function of the company\'s Business IT Centre of Excellence (CoE) forward, following a series of successful acquisitions. The Financial Controller will partner with branch business leaders, deliver high-quality financial reporting, and maintain robust balance sheet control. The Financial Controller position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who thrives on collaboration and has the ability to translate financial insights into actionable strategies. Qualifications
  • Qualified accountant or equivalent experience with a comprehensive knowledge of double-entry accounting.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop finance teams, including line management of at least two staff members.
  • Strong ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with senior managers and directors.
  • Process- and controls-driven mindset.
  • Experience with NetSuite is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong cashflow, debtor, and creditor management skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Main responsibilities
  • Lead the production and development of management reporting for the Business IT CoE, ensuring compliance with deadlines.
  • Advise on key performance areas and communicate financial results to management and stakeholders.
  • Business partner with senior management to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Work closely with the planning function to produce annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Ensure best-in-class financial controls are in place and adhered to across the CoE.
  • Manage a team of transactional finance professionals and oversee management accountants as required.
  • Produce and review weekly forward-looking cashflows to manage operational cash flow.
  • Support financial system standardization projects across the CoE.
  • Complete and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with tax-related queries, including VAT and corporate tax, and support annual audit requirements.
