Qualifications

Overview

The firm provides liquidity solutions to private equity investors, acquiring interests in private equity funds, portfolios of private companies, and other private equity-related assets. In January 2021 the firm closed Coller International Partners VIII, with capital commitments of over $9 billion, and launched a first credit fund at over $1.4 billion in capital commitments as part of a multi-product strategy.

The role

Working within the Finance department that acts as a business partner to Front Office and Investor Relations, you will be expected to foster strong relationships with various counterparties and service providers to deliver for our investors. The firm supports a collaborative, entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment that enables team members to learn, develop and flourish. You will have a broad remit with exposure to a diverse range of areas in Finance to maximise your strengths. You will sit within the Portfolio Monitoring team and work collaboratively with Treasury and Fund Reporting teams, as well as other areas inside and outside the organisation.

Portfolio Monitoring and Business Partnering
  • Portfolio Monitoring: Quarterly valuations; monitor and confirm the accuracy of investment valuations provided by underlying investment managers in real time, down to portfolio company level, primarily through reviewing and interpreting manager reporting; responsible for preparing the Valuation Committee pack; track progress of new deals and ensure multi-currency funding, multi-region structuring, and reporting requirements are aligned with strategic objectives and communicated to Administrators, Treasury, Investment and Legal teams.
  • Investment Monitoring: Summarise the performance of the funds’ portfolio in a quarterly review pack for senior stakeholders; ongoing governance of investment performance with the Investment Team and CIO Office, including probing funding requirements, exit assumptions and underlying performance improvement plans.
  • Business Partnering: Partner with Investor Relations to deliver investment performance analysis for investors and assist fundraising through review of investment materials; collaborate with tax and execution teams to manage complex underlying structures across jurisdictions; partner with Middle Office/IT to innovate platform functionality; participate in process improvement projects across the business as needed.

Experience
  • Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) – up to 2 years PQE
  • Strong organisational and motivational skills with excellent attention to detail
