A leading housing association in the United Kingdom is seeking a Financial Accountant to provide essential support in financial reporting and management accounting. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in preparing statutory accounts, managing VAT returns, and improving financial processes. We are looking for a Financial Accountant to work with in the Financial Reporting team to provide support to the wider organisation. You will play a key role in delivering the monthly management accounts and yearly statutory accounts. In addition you will prepare the quarterly VAT returns for the group, balance sheet reconciliations for GSA and its subsidiaries and able to resolve any queries that may arise.
A continuous improvement mind set is encouraged as we strive to seek further efficiencies in how we do things.

You must be a confident self-starter and problem solver with the ability to understand complex transactions and be able to communicate to all levels across the organisation in a professional manner.
This person must have the ability to resolve issues with minimal direction and be able to come up with solutions or recommendations.
The individual must work to the highest standard and someone who is able to look at process and are able to identify more efficient ways to complete process and to add value to help the organisation achieve its goals.
