Qualifications

  • Overseeing monthly bank reconciliations.

Job description

We are exclusively partnered with a privately held family office with over four decades of successful UK property investment. Operating through a network of 100 SPVs and employing around 25 people, the firm is based in North London and prides itself on stability, integrity, and long-term growth. This role is office-based (Parking facilities available).

We are seeking an experienced and capable Group Financial Accountant to take a hands-on role in managing and modernising internal financial operations. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a rare opportunity to become a key member of a close-knit, dedicated team and make a lasting impact by shaping the future of the company's financial systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely production of management accounts for approximately 100 entities (via Xero and Excel)
  • Overseeing monthly bank reconciliations
  • VAT administration and HMRC filings
  • Payroll and PAYE administration and compliance
  • Assisting in process improvements and systems upgrades (Xero, Qube integration, automation of bank downloads)

Minimum Requirements:

  • ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA or equivalent accounting qualification
  • Experience in accountancy practice, ideally working with real estate/ property investment businesses
  • Strong double-entry bookkeeping skills with fluency in balance sheets and P&Ls
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Familiarity with Qube Property Management and/ or Xero is highly desirable
