HW Finance are pleased to be working with a Professional Services business, in their search for a new Financial Accountant to join the team in Leeds.

About the role:

This is a varied reporting role, suitable for someone recently qualified and looking to progress their career.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the month end close process, working closely with stakeholders across the wider team
• Prepare accurate and timely weekly, monthly and annual financial statements
• Own associated balance sheet reconciliations and support monthly balance sheet reporting and analysis
• Deliver insightful financial analysis and commentary to support senior management
• Maintain strong balance sheet control through monthly account reconciliation
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, controls and reporting systems
• Support the year end audit process and external auditors, to ensure a smooth reporting cycle
• Ensure compliance with financial obligations and internal control standards
• Work with stakeholders across Commercial and Operations teams to ensure accurate accounting
• Support Commercial Finance in understanding results and the drivers to budget/forecast

About You:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified (or equivalent)
• Strong management accounting/financial reporting or Audit background
• High attention to detail
• Strong Microsoft skills, particularly Excel
• Ability to interpret large amounts of financial data
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with ability to build and manage relationships
• Excellent communication, analytical and presentation skills
• Professional and positive approach
