Are you a qualified accountant with strong technical skills and a passion for financial accounting? This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy finance team during a period of transformation, providing assurance over financial accounts and working closely with outsourced providers. You’ll be responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and insight in a critical accounting function.

What you’ll do
  • Lead the year-end timetable for financial accounts, liaising with auditors and stakeholders.
  • Deliver statutory accounts in line with IFRS, FreM, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive interim and year-end audits, preparing working papers and resolving queries.
  • Challenge and improve outsourced financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Analyse monthly accounts, produce management reports, and provide actionable insights.
  • Oversee funding movements, daily cash forecasts, and reconcile financial data.
  • Serve as the key link between finance and outsourced providers, maintaining control and compliance.
  • Manage treasury operations, including bank accounts, authorisations, and cash monitoring.
  • Build strong networks across teams and providers to resolve issues and enhance processes.
What you’ll need
  • Fully qualified Accountant with strong technical financial accounting experience.
  • Experience in financial accounting, reconciliations, and year-end support; experience with public sector accounting or financial instruments is desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to challenge and influence where necessary.
  • Confident, professional, and collaborative approach, able to build positive relationships internally and externally.
