A leading logistics company in the UK is seeking a Finance Manager to enhance profitability and support ambitious growth targets. The role involves identifying cost savings, driving process improvements, and collaborating across the business. Ideal candidates will be qualified accountants with strong analytical skills and experience in fast-paced environments. The continually increasing growth size and complexity of the business presents a fantastic opportunity for the company to review its operations and processes to identify profitability improvement opportunities and support the organisations ambitious growth targets.
This Finance Manager role will be varied and high profile interfacing with all levels within the operations and backroom staff meaning business-wide exposure.
Identifying cost savings and commercial opportunities
Challenging existing norms to drive improvements
Presentations to the Senior Leadership Team
Cultivating relationships across the business and outside of Finance
Seeing initiatives through to completion including financial modelling process mapping systems review and ROI capture
Identifying process improvements where necessary
Implementing control measures in agreement with affected stakeholders
Partnering on integration projects and assisting in due diligence work
Manage a transformation runway ensuring each initiative is given due care and deadlines are met
Excellent communication and presentation skills self-assurance resilience and the ability to build strong rapport with stakeholders. A desire to identify areas of improvements such as management reporting financial controls and performance. The individual will be able to manage multiple priorities with autonomy with experience of transformation methodologies. A detail driven highly observational analytical and technical problem solving skill set is important. Being able to present information in a clear and insightful way is key for this role. Willingness to work with flexibility including night shifts and travel to various sites where appropriate.
Candidates should have experience of working in a fast moving challenging work environment with a track-record of career progression.
The successful candidate will be a graduate calibre qualified accountant who can demonstrate sound financial and commercial judgement with experience of lean methodologies desirable.
Advanced Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint is a must with SQL knowledge being beneficial.
