A charitable housing association is seeking an experienced accountant to manage financial reporting and support budgeting processes. This role involves preparing management accounts, budgets, and providing financial advice. Candidates should have a CCAB qualification and excellent IT skills. Newlon Housing Trust is a successful charitable housing association and one of the major providers of new affordable housing in north and east London.
We have an opportunity for an experienced and qualified accountant to join us at Outward Housing. Outward works in partnership with Newlon and is a forward-thinking and inclusive charity, working across eight London boroughs to support people with learning disabilities, people on the autism spectrum, older people and young people at risk, to live with dignity and purpose.
You will have a full range of accounting duties, including preparing monthly management accounts, leading in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, statutory accounts and supporting schedules, and will be responsible for preparing all financial performance indicators. You will also provide financial support and advice as and when needed.
With a CCAB accounting qualification, or finalist with substantial experience, you will have proven experience of producing and developing periodic management accounts and budget setting, forecasting and interpretation of financial performance. Excellent IT skills, with the ability to use accounting packages, is essential, along with an organised and methodical approach and an understanding of the importance of diversity in the workplace.

We currently offer the opportunity to work up to three days at home (depending on the role). You'll also be working out of purpose-built offices that form part of the award-winning Hale Village regeneration project, and are situated just two minutes' walk from the major transport interchange at Tottenham Hale.

Salary: £56,805 per annum plus opportunity to earn up to 5% performance related bonus
