Overview

At Rutherford Briant, we're working with a leading not-for-profit organisation based in Suffolk, known for its supportive culture and commitment to delivering real impact across the communities it serves. They are now looking to appoint a Finance Business Partner - a pivotal role that combines financial reporting, business partnering, and continuous improvement within a values-driven environment.

Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of internal financial reporting and regulatory submissions, ensuring accuracy, insight, and timeliness
  • Lead on budgeting processes and act as a strategic finance partner to operational teams across the organisation
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the management accounts team, delivering high-quality outputs
  • Support and develop team members through coaching, annual appraisals, and identifying training needs
  • Drive forward a collaborative culture across finance and wider departments, ensuring service excellence
  • Lead improvement projects across the finance function to enhance systems, processes, and reporting
Requirements
  • A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • At least 3 years\' post-qualification experience within a financial leadership role
  • A proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting demands
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across the organisation
  • Previous experience in budgeting and producing management accounts
  • Team management experience, with a passion for developing and supporting others
  • A solid understanding of accountancy principles, including FRS102 and ideally the Housing SORP
  • Previous experience in the social housing or not-for-profit sector (desirable)
  • Familiarity with OpenAccounts and Infor BI systems (advantageous)
