As a Finance Business Partner at Cromwell Hospital, you’ll play a key role in supporting our operational departments with financial insight, analysis, and strategic planning. You’ll work closely with department heads to understand performance, challenge decisions, and help shape the future of our hospital services. How you’ll help us make health happen

In this role, you’ll:

  • Act as a trusted finance advisor to key operational departments
  • Build strong relationships with department heads to support financial understanding
  • Analyse monthly results and trends, and support performance reviews
  • Provide challenge and insight to drive corrective actions and improvements
  • Support capital investment cases with robust financial analysis
  • Produce ad hoc financial analysis and business intelligence
  • Lead the 3-year planning process for your departments
  • Contribute to wider FP&A activities and provide cover when needed
  • Participate in team meetings and hospital events, sharing ideas and supporting a positive culture
Key Skills/Qualifications needed for this role

We’re looking for someone who’s analytical, collaborative, and ready to make a difference.

You’ll need:

  • A qualified accountant with experience in industry is essential. Please specify your qualification on your application.

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills (Oracle, Peoplesoft, and Compucare experience is a plus)
  • An understanding of key Hospital business drivers and operations is desirable.
  • Strong commercial acumen alongside a robust understanding of finance processes.
  • Experience supporting business cases, investment appraisals, and financial modelling
  • Confidence producing outputs for senior management and summarising key messages
  • Excellent organisation, time management, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A mindset of continuous improvement and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Confidence to challenge senior colleagues constructively
  • A proactive, pragmatic approach and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing workloads and priorities
