Job Description

  • Assist in preparing and processing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain and update financial records, supporting the wider Accounting & Finance team in York.
  • Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure data integrity.
  • Provide support for monthly and year-end financial reporting activities.
  • Assist in preparing financial summaries and reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient financial operations.
  • Respond to financial queries from internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Support other ad-hoc finance-related tasks as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Assistant should have:

  • A background in finance or accounting, with familiarity in financial processes.
  • Proficiency in using financial systems and tools, with strong attention to detail.
  • An organised and proactive approach to managing tasks and meeting deadlines.
