Marks Sattin are working with a client in Harrogate who are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant into their growing UK finance team.

Responsibilities

• Processing purchase and sales invoices
• Creating payment runs and reconciling supplier statements
• Managing student refunds and maintaining transactional ledgers
• Performing bank reconciliations and running aged debtor/creditor reports
• Supporting finance managers and management accountants with queries
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Candidate Profile

• Prior experience in purchase ledger is essential
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Proactive approach with strong ownership of tasks
• Excellent communication skills across finance and non-finance teams
• Good Excel and IT skills; experience with Microsoft Navision is advantageous
• AAT qualification preferred but not essential
