About the Role

As Finance Analyst you will work closely with our team of four Finance Business Partners and play a key role in supporting the month–end process, ensuring accurate financial information is delivered on time to help drive effective decision–making across the University.


This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience across a range of financial processes in a busy and supportive environment. You ll be able to develop your skills while building a strong foundation in management accounting and financial analysis, providing a solid platform for progression in your finance career.


What You ll Do


  • Prepare monthly reconciliations and journals to ensure accurate reporting.

  • Carry out cost analysis, allocation reviews, and control checks.

  • Assist with the bi–weekly capital expenditure process.

  • Prepare and process monthly accruals and prepayments.

  • Support the Finance Business Partners with reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.

  • Gain exposure to a broad range of finance processes, building your technical expertise and understanding of how finance supports wider strategic and operational goals.


What You ll Bring


  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.

  • Experience in a fast–paced business or finance function.

  • Familiarity with finance systems.

  • Strong MS Excel skills.

  • Excellent numerical ability, accuracy, and attention to detail.

  • General business or commercial awareness.

  • An interest in, or intention to begin, studying towards an accountancy qualification (AAT, CIMA, ACCA, or similar).
