Field Service Engineer (Portable Power Solutions) – Reading Area

Salary: £43,000 - £57,000 (including overtime) | Company Vehicle | Full Benefits Package | Long-Term Secured Workload

Responsibilities
  • Operate from a home base and cover the South and South West
  • Service and maintain portable air compressors, energy storage systems, generators, pumps, lighting towers, and handheld tools
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults quickly and effectively
  • Carry out commissioning, pre-delivery inspections, and upgrades
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and be a trusted face of the brand
  • Work closely with the service team to plan and organise your schedule
  • Represent a company known for professionalism, reliability, and engineering excellence
  • Field-based role with daily travel and occasional overnight stays, supported by excellent overtime and travel allowances
About You / Qualifications
  • You are a skilled Field Service Engineer with mechanical and electrical expertise. Experience may include:
  • Generators, portable compressors, energy storage, or similar equipment
  • Power distribution systems, construction sites, maritime settings, or the military
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both face-to-face and digital)
  • HNC (or equivalent) in mechanical or electrical engineering (advantageous)
  • Full clean UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK
