Field Service Engineer - Mobile HGV Mechanic linkup•Three Mile Cross, UK

About this Role

Every day, communities and businesses rely on essential equipment to keep things running smoothly. As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be out in the field, making sure our environmental, municipal, civil, and utilities assets stay in top condition.

From urgent breakdowns to scheduled maintenance, you'll play a vital role in keeping our clients operational. Diagnose, repair, and maintain DGEMC-owned assets, including specialist utilities equipment (Road Sweepers, Tankers, Grabs, RCV's, Tippers & Specialist Vehicles/Equipment).

• Respond swiftly to service calls, ensuring downtime is minimised.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
• Maintain accurate electronic work records via PDA.
• Carry out PMI inspections and complete reports.
• Manage your own time and stock levels efficiently.

About You

We're looking for a hands-on technician with a problem-solving mindset. If you love working independently and thrive in a dynamic, on-the-go role, this is for you!

• Level 2 mechanical or engineering qualification (or equivalent).
• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• Strong experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Confident diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and electrical faults.
• Competent in the use of diagnostic equipment.
• Class 2 HGV licence desirable but not essential.
• Great communicator and able to prioritise workload.
