  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full clean UK drivers license required.

Job description

Salary: £31,000

Location: Manchester Area

The principal role of the Field Engineer is to be responsible for assisting in the smooth delivery of Surgery Connect and other services to the customers sites (mainly surgeries) around the country. This will include, but is not limited to, installing and setting up hardware. Installing structured cabling, fault finding and assisting surgery staff in setting up PC’s etc.

Key Tasks

  • Installation of new CAT5e cabling and enhancing existing data cabling infrastructure
  • To conduct site surveys in surgery environments and provide detailed reports with your findings
  • Installation of VoIP phones/switches/routers as well as WIFI systems within a surgery environment
  • On site customer support, to give demonstrations and ad hoc training at “Go-Lives” and Install
  • Troubleshooting a range of issues, investigating, diagnosing faults, and working through to resolution
  • To ensure customer satisfaction at the highest level
  • Comply with the company’s Health & Safety, Data Protection, Information Security, PCI & DSP policies and procedures

Skills and Competencies Required

  • Ability to complete work to a high standard whilst following Health & Safety regulations.
  • In depth knowledge of the installation of new cabling and enhancing existing data cabling infrastructures and VOIP/WIFI systems within a surgery or commercial environment.
  • Able to work independently, and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for customer service.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • High attention to detail and problem solving skills.
  • Full clean UK drivers license.
  • DBS check is required
