Job Title: Field Commissioning Engineer

Trusted by Vodafone, Nokia & Ericsson we maximize network availability and boost KPIs for our customers. We implement both out-of-the-box solutions and carry out individual work elements to suit our clients' specific requirements.

Field Commissioning Engineers provide technical support and system walk-downs to ensure the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment and systems. They review technical documentation, conduct equipment checks and system tests, and prepare test reports to confirm compliance with technical specifications.

Key Accountabilities

• Commissioning of Ericsson RBS 6000 and BBs 6600 series controllers, DUG, DUW, DUL, DUS, Nokia Airscale and Huawei BTS 3900 equipment.
• Test calls of Vodafone, VMO2 and EE networks.
• Terminating and testing of external alarms.
• Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing of deployed telecommunications equipment.
• Keeping records of upgrades, repairs, and maintenance performed.
• Maintaining in-depth, current knowledge of equipment.
• Reporting the full working process on field.
• Maintaining workflow process reports.
• Verifying service by testing circuits, equipment, and alarms; identifying, correcting, or escalating problems.
• Maintaining network by troubleshooting and repairing outages; testing network back‑up procedures; updating documentation.
• Maintaining a safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations.
• Keeping supplies ready by inventorying stock.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience Required

• Demonstrate understanding of the mobile network – GSM/EDGE, UMTS, WCDMA/HSPA, LTE, NR – NSA and SA.
• Very good knowledge of vendor equipment – Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung.
• Experience in a Telecoms environment.
• External Field Commissioning experience.
• DC competent – work with DC measurement tools, preparing DC certificates.
• Good network skills – TCP/IP, subnet mask.
• Good knowledge of MS Office pack – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams.
• Good knowledge of Windows OS and Android OS.
• Attention to detail.
• Good understanding of onsite external alarms wiring and connections.
• Good knowledge of RF / GPS system – troubleshooting, connections.
