Job summary

A healthcare provider in the United Kingdom is seeking a Female Support Worker to assist an individual with a C7 spinal cord injury. Job description

Female Support Worker
Pay rate: £13.13 per hour flat rate (Weekly or Monthly pay)
Shift Pattern: Week day 7:00am - 18:00pm, Weekend day 9:00am - 14:00pm & Sleep ins 22:00pm - 7:00am (Only 2 sleep ins per week)

We are looking for a female support worker to join a small, dedicated team providing one-to-one support for an independent man living with a high-level C7 spinal cord injury. He lives with his partner and child, is verbal, and uses a wheelchair. He has a great passion for 60s and 70s music and loves watching motorsport.

About You
  • You have experience in continence and bowel management - Desirable
  • You have previous healthcare experience
  • You are patient, kind, and professional
  • You have awareness of supporting spinal injuries
  • You are confident working one-to-one
  • You are able to work day shifts and sleep in shifts
  • You are reliable, discreet, and able to work with empathy and respect
This role involves:
  • Providing personal care, including continence and bowel management.
  • Promoting dignity, choice, and a person-centred approach at all times.
  • Supporting around the home, cooking, cleaning where required.
  • Supporting him out in the community and at work on a Tuesday.
  • Help him into his standing frame & support with slide board if required.
  • 1:1 care.
