Overview

We are looking for 1 to 2 Female Personal Care Assistants to join a team who care for a young lady who suffers from Rett Sydrome in her home. The lady is non verbal and is prone to epilepic fits.

Responsibilities

• 14 hours are per week over 2 days (Monday & Saturday). The hours are usually 11 am till 6 pm. This could be a job share between 2 people, so that it would work alternative weeks. The successful applicants will also be required to cover holidays and sickness of other staff.
• Duties include: personal care, moving & handling, peg feeding. Full training will be given for all care requirements.

Compensation & Benefits

• The rate of pay is £13.25 to £14 per hour (depending on experience). A pension scheme is also incorporated.

Requirements

• The successful applicants must be a non smoker.
• Exception under the Equality Act(2010) this position is only available to female applicants due to the nature of personal care provided.
• A DBS will be required.
