Family Solicitor – Bournemouth
Experience: 5+ years PQE preferred

A well-established regional law firm is looking for a confident and driven Family Solicitor to lead their Bournemouth office’s family law practice. This is a great opportunity to be the sole family law practitioner on site and really shape the firm’s presence in the local market.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with a flair for business development—someone who enjoys building lasting client relationships and actively growing the firm’s profile in the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling a broad range of private family law matters including divorce, financial remedies, and children issues.
• Undertaking your own advocacy where appropriate.
• Proactively networking and generating new business opportunities.
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients and key local referrers.
• Growing the department’s presence and reputation in Bournemouth.
• Optionally undertaking family mediation (desirable but not essential).

What We’re Looking For

• Ideally 5+ years PQE in family law.
• A confident, self-motivated practitioner able to work independently.
• Someone with an existing client/referrer following or the ability to develop one.
• Commercially minded, with the drive to grow a caseload.
• Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
