Our client helps people who have migrated to this country with support, advice and guidance.

They are now looking for a Family Refugee Support & Integration Officer to join them on a full-time basis on a one-year fixed-term contract, working 37.5 hours per week.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Family Refugee Support & Integration Officer, you will help families resettle and integrate into UK life, providing tailored support and guidance.

Managing a designated caseload, you will carry out needs assessments, develop personalised support plans and provide advice on issues such as housing, finance, education, employment, and health.

Alongside this, you will also forge strong partnerships with external organisations and agencies to promote opportunities for families.

Additionally, you will:

  • Support families with budgeting, benefits and building social networks
  • Signpost to external agencies and services where needed
  • Visit tenants in their homes and community settings
  • Keep accurate records and manage your caseload effectively
What Our Client Is Looking For

To be considered as a Family Refugee Support & Integration Officer, you will need:

  • Experience of working in family or children support services
  • Experience of providing advice and guidance, advocacy and culturally sensitive support
  • Experience of creating support plans and completing needs assessments
  • Experience and knowledge of working with people with complex/multiple support needs
  • Experience and knowledge of homelessness and Housing law
  • The ability to effectively assess, manage and continuously review needs and risks
  • The ability to maintain accurate records and manage a caseload
  • Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A full, valid driving licence and access to a vehicle

Due to the nature of this post, an enhanced DBS check will be undertaken for successful applicants, but only with their prior consent.
