Job description

The main focus of this position is to lead the daily oversight of quality and food safety within our manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Drive results to achieve the Quality & Food Safety Strategy
• Build and sustain a proactive Food Safety Culture; monitor and share best practices
• Lead quality improvement through RCA, corrective actions, and Food Safety Initiatives
• Act as deputy for the Cluster Technical Manager
• Lead WSFS, BRC, and Retailer audits; manage internal audit programme and non-conformance responses
• Quality Owner for capital projects and lead minor projects
• Manage food safety incidents, including timelines and corrective actions
• Oversee factory hygiene, including inspections and pest control management
• Address daily quality issues, making necessary recommendations
• Manage complaint investigations, including trending and corrective actions
• Ensure Food Safety and Compliance with legal and customer requirements
• Coach teams on quality and food safety standards according to company procedures
• Develop and implement new procedures with stakeholders
• Manage equipment calibration
• Represent the quality function in plant MOS meetings
• Support factory trials to maintain Quality & Food Safety

Qualifications

• Technical and quality background with experience in food safety and compliance
• Proven experience of driving quality/continuous improvement
• Good working knowledge of HACCP, BRC, Auditing, Microbiology, Allergen and Pest Management

Desirable Skills

• Experience & understanding of Quality Management in a food environment
