An esteemed conservation organization is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee operations at the Giant's Causeway, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. We’re looking for a Facilities Manager at Giant's Causeway.
Flanked by the wild North Atlantic Ocean and a landscape of dramatic cliffs, for centuries the Giant’s Causeway has inspired artists, stirred scientific debate, and captured the imagination of all who visit. Northern Ireland’s North Coast is one of the largest and stunning portfolios within the National Trust, welcoming over 600,000 visitors every year, who come to explore the iconic coastline. This is an operational role based at the Giant’s Causeway, comprising a team of approximately 100 passionate and enthusiastic staff, working hard to provide exceptional and well cared for visitor services and life‑long memories for our visitors.
As our Facilities Manager, you'll be leading all planned preventative, reactive and small projects across the estate. You'll also be involved in the day-to-day running of capital works projects.
You’ll be based primarily at our award‑winning, sustainable Visitor Centreat at the Giant's Causeway and will have facilities management responsibility for the entire Causeway site, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and Downhill Demesne properties. You will line‑manage the facilities team, who are responsible for the efficient management, maintenance and compliance of our built assets, maintaining high standards of care and quality throughout the estate portfolio.
You’ll also form strong links with your fellow heads of department and work together to improve our assets and maintenance strategies and use resources efficiently. You’ll be part of the Property Leadership Team, and the duty manager team, which means you'll have direct delegated budget management and compliance task responsibilities, as well as occasionally acting as duty manager.
