Blue Arrow is currently recruiting an Experienced Butcher for our client in the Perthshire area!!

Location: Perthshire area

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

Working Pattern: 5 days out of 7, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Responsibilities
  • Handle all aspects of the butchery department, including product selection, procurement, presentation, and sales.
  • Demonstrate expert skills in deboning, trimming, grinding, and packaging various meats.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, advising customers on meat and poultry choices based on their preferences.
  • Maintain the highest product quality standards in line with company and local health regulations.
  • Train and mentor junior butchers and counter assistants, fostering product knowledge and service excellence.
  • Manage stock control and inventory to ensure adequate supply and minimise waste.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene and workplace safety regulations.

  • Understanding of health and safety regulations related to food preparation and storage.
  • Formal training in butchery or a related field is essential.
