Overview

Executive Officer - Deployment

Location: PE2 8YY, Peterborough base with travel up to 5 days per week including overnight stays. Deployment role – various locations across the country. Hourly rate: £15.53. Working Days/Hours: 37 hours: Monday – Friday.

Brook Street, in partnership with the Home Office, has a fantastic opportunity to join their AMLO team. This is a demanding, hands-on role in a fast-paced environment offering development opportunities. You will provide day-to-day support and advice to customers across the UK to prepare them for move on from Asylum Support. The role is varied with a flexible deployment approach, involving face-to-face and virtual interactions, resolving blockers through escalations, and working with HEO AMLO Team and Operational leads to identify issues and seek resolutions. A hybrid approach is required, including on-site travel to Home Office accommodation locations and attendance at your local regional office.

Responsibilities
  • Manage caseloads and maintain trackers for the respective area, with flexibility to cover other regional areas as required.
  • Retrieve and direct data to HEO Team leads for logistical planning.
  • Respond to emails from various sources in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Escalate issues that cannot be resolved immediately to various teams across the Home Office and potentially externally.
  • Communicate with customers via various means, including telephone (using translation services where needed).
  • Maintain effective relationships with key internal and external partners and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate civil service values and standards of behaviour as a role model to colleagues.
  • Provide on-site advice, guidance, and support to customers in a face-to-face environment and to on-site corporate stakeholders.
  • Respond to safeguarding, police, or security incidents by referring cases as required.
  • Perform additional duties as required depending on demand and emerging priorities.
  • Record keeping on Excel and other IT systems.
Experience / Qualifications
  • Passion for delivery, solution-focused, and resilient to challenges.
  • Experience of working under pressure, balancing competing priorities to meet deadlines, while maintaining quality.
  • Ability to multi-task, manage a varied workload, prioritise effectively, and respond quickly and calmly to changing circumstances.
Training

This is a physically demanding operational role that requires candidates to complete personal safety training at level 2. This is mandatory. Failure to complete the training will preclude the role.

Clearance
  • Enhanced DBS + Counter Terrorism Clearance (CTC).
Role-specific requirements
  • Valid driver's license and access to your own vehicle is essential due to deployment requirements.
  • Valid passport and UK residence for more than 5 years; a period of 6 months or longer spent outside the UK in the last 5 years cannot be accepted. Security clearance will be processed if successful.
