What skills and experience we're looking for

Outwood Academy Haydock is an 11-16 academy located in the former mining village of Haydock, within the large Merseyside town of St Helens. We are proud to say that our recent OFSTED inspection in September 2024 cited that the school is a “Good” school.

We are seeking to appoint Exam Invigilators with the drive to contribute to an atmosphere of respect, recognition, and mutual support within the school.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure correct exam procedures are followed.
  • Set out and collect exam papers and materials.
  • Admit students to the exam hall/room and invigilate.
  • Read and scribe for students if required.
  • Contribute to a smooth-running examination process.
Qualifications

The successful candidate needs to be extremely well organised, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet strict deadlines. They should be able to work on their own initiative, act as a role model, and work within a team environment. Applications are welcome from individuals with a good standard of education, those seeking a work pattern to complement existing commitments, or retired/semi-retired professionals. Full training will be given to successful applicants.
