Estimator - Commercial Fit-Out & Interiors

Location: Berkshire

Salary:60,000 - £75,000

Type: Permanent

We are supporting a leading commercial fit-out and refurbishment contractor in Berkshire who are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their pre-construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator with a strong background in CAT A, CAT B and D&B fit-out projects to take ownership of tenders and drive the front‑end of the business.

The company delivers high-quality office and commercial interiors for corporate clients, professional services firms and technology‑led environments across the Thames Valley and London region.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for preparing detailed and competitive tenders, managing subcontract pricing, supporting early‑stage design development and working closely with the pre‑construction and delivery teams to ensure accuracy, consistency and commercial efficiency across all bids.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for CAT A / CAT B office fit‑outs and refurbishment schemes
• Assess tenders, drawings, specifications and project information
• Produce bills of quantities, take‑offs and cost breakdowns
• Source, manage and negotiate with subcontractors and supply chain partners
• Support value engineering and alternative solutions to meet client budgets
• Work alongside design, pre‑construction and project management teams
• Ensure accurate handover to delivery teams with clear cost plans and scope information
• Maintain pricing libraries, cost databases and historical project information
• Assist with early cost advice and feasibility pricing where required

Experience Required

• 4+ years' experience as an Estimator in fit‑out, interiors, refurbishment or D&B
• Strong technical understanding of commercial interiors, partitions, ceilings, joinery and MEP interfaces
• Able to read drawings, measure accurately and provide clear breakdowns
• Confident managing tender processes from enquiry through to submission
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment
• Excellent communication and IT skills
