Our Cost & Procurement team is undertaking a multi‑year transformation to maximise the potential of our supplier ecosystem through a new operating model. We seek a ESG and SRM Manager to lead the evolution of Santander UK’s supplier ecosystem, turn ESG ambition into measurable impact, unlock innovation at scale, and partner with suppliers to deliver best value while complying with regulation and Santander’s risk appetite.

Responsibilities
  • Own and embed a refreshed Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) model that includes innovation performance recognition and governance to elevate supplier outcomes and ESG excellence.
  • Create a 3‑year ESG journey from a C&P perspective, partnering with suppliers to drive measurable impact for climate communities and peers.
  • Champion division successes and own the communication strategy around SRM and ESG matters.
  • Develop a common organisational language and governance to ensure audit readiness, risk mitigation and market recognition.
  • Lead supplier segmentation exercises aligned with SRM practices across the end‑to‑end supply chain to identify focus areas and strategic partnerships that drive efficiency, service quality, innovation and risk‑reduction.
  • Own regulatory and internal MI/reporting frameworks and ESG & SRM disclosures, maintaining robust oversight and governance.
  • Lead priority procurement initiatives, identify root causes, recommend fixes or investments, and improve tooling adoption.
  • Support Net Zero plans and lead ESG coaching and upskilling of colleagues and partners.
  • Serve as service manager for ESG and SRM tooling systems and third‑party providers.
Qualifications
  • Proven ESG SRM experience in a procurement environment with matrix and cross‑cultural settings, and strong customer focus.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of S2P technology, contract management and procurement analytics.
  • Experience designing ESG strategies with clear metrics and measurement.
  • Governance and reporting in complex organisations; confident with MI and disclosures.
  • Track record managing third‑party providers against KPIs and service commitments.
  • Project / change delivery with strong stakeholder communication and influence.
  • Procurement transformation and/or systems improvement leadership (preferred).
  • Experience leading and developing teams in complex environments (preferred).
  • Exposure to net‑zero or broader sustainability programmes within procurement (preferred).
Languages
  • English – Required.
  • Spanish – Preferred.

Work Pattern

This role is site‑based with a hybrid working pattern. Colleagues are expected to attend the office at least 12 days per month (pro‑rata for part‑time roles). Please consider travel distance, time and cost to the chosen office location when applying.
