Overview

Vibrock Limited is an established independent environmental consultancy that has been providing noise, air quality and vibration services to industry since 1991. Our key areas of work include mineral and waste, industrial and commercial, energy, construction and demolition. Our head office is based in Heanor, Derbyshire. Our team in Scotland is based near Scone in Perth. Vibrock Ltd is a member of the Association of Noise Consultants (ANC) and we provide services throughout the UK and internationally.

The Role

Due to continued high demand, we are currently seeking a Junior Technician to undertake an active role in the delivery of our consultancy services which include the monitoring and assessment of noise, dust and vibration from both environmental and occupational exposure perspectives. The successful candidate would carry out on-site noise, dust and vibration surveys; process noise/vibration data and analyse dust samples; maintain and prepare monitoring equipment; assist our instrumentation department; produce short technical reports, figures and tables. Hands-on training from experienced professionals will be provided.

Experience/Qualifications

We will consider applications from individuals without any specific prior experience. The role is also ideal for someone at the start of their career with 1 – 2 years experience in a similar role and/or academic or professional qualifications in occupational health, environmental monitoring, acoustics, vibration and air quality such as the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) or Institute of Acoustics (IOA) Diploma/Training courses.

  • Willingness to occasionally work outside of normal office hours and stay away from home
