Job summary

A federal government agency is looking for an Environmental Engineer to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and improve air, land, and water resources at assigned sites. Duties
  • Serves as an Environmental Engineer performing professional engineering work to ensure environmental regulatory compliance and to protect or improve air, land, and water resources to provide a clean and healthful environment at assigned site(s).
  • Executes and manages the environmental compliance, environmental program area management, installation restoration, environmental liabilities, environmental planning and sustainment, and environmental stewardship programs.
  • Performs design reviews on all construction and renovation projects for validation of compliance with Federal Energy, Water Management, and Climate Change statutes.
  • Participates in the development of an environmental master plan to document the status of assigned projects and identifies funding requirements for future projects.
  • Advises top management, supervisors, staff, operating officials, and where necessary, HQ DLA, on matters concerning assigned environmental compliance and pollution prevention projects and initiatives.
