Job description

I am recruiting for an Environmental Advisor to join a major infrastructure project based in Cumbria. This is a key role supporting the delivery teams to ensure all works are carried out in line with environmental legislation, project standards and client expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the delivery teams with environmental compliance across all work fronts
  • Preparing and implementing environmental management plans
  • Carrying out site inspections and audits, identifying any risks and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
  • Managing environmental reporting and monitoring requirements
  • Liaising with project teams, subcontractors and regulators
  • Supporting carbon reduction, waste management and sustainability initiatives
  • Leading toolbox talks and providing guidance to site teams on best practice
  • Ensuring documentation, permits and consents are up to date and in line with requirements
Requirements
  • Experience working as an Environmental Advisor on major infrastructure or construction projects
  • Good working knowledge of environmental legislation and requirements
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels
  • Ability to work across multiple work fronts in a fast paced environment
  • Ideally holding an environmental or sustainability related qualification

This is a full time, site based position and candidates must be able to work in Cumbria. You must also have the ability to obtain security clearance or already hold it.
