Overview

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a talented English teacher to join a successful secondary academy in Trafford. This is a full-time long-term supply teacher role from September 2025 onwards to cover a temporary sickness absence.

The Role

• Teacher of English Language and Literature to GCSE
• Five days a week
• Positive, confident classroom management skills with a focus on Assessment for Learning
• Innovative teacher able to inspire with their excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for English literature and language

The School

Oversubscribed secondary academy for girls. Ofsted Good November 2023. Behaviour is good and students are engaged and prepared for lessons. Very supportive environment for trainee teachers and early career teachers. Easily accessible by public transport or car.

Who we're looking for

The school are interested in hearing from Early Career Teachers and experienced QTS teachers or further education teachers with experience of teaching students aged 11 to 16.

Requirements

• Hold QTS Status or QTLS
• Subject to Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
• Provide a CV with full employment/education history; explain any employment breaks
• Have the legal right to work in the UK with no restrictions
