A local education authority in North East England is seeking a qualified English Intervention Teacher. The role involves teaching English to pupils who are too unwell to attend school, with responsibilities including delivering lessons in various locations across County Durham. Applicants should possess excellent communication skills and a commitment to a supportive teaching environment. This position offers a fixed rate of £35.8490/hour, with additional casual hours available throughout the school year.
English Intervention Teacher
MPS6 fixed rate, £35.8490/hour; Casual, annualised hours contract; Temporary – required as soon as possible for one year from start; Contract of 100 hours minimum each year; Extra casual hours available to suit throughout the school year.
The Woodlands EHN Team are seeking to recruit qualified Secondary English intervention teachers to educate pupils who are medically too unwell to attend school. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference to the lives of young people and their families. To support a child’s education until they are well enough to reintegrate to their school.
Candidate will be required to teach English and in addition PHSE and potentially an option subject.
The post holder will be required to travel across all of County Durham. Teaching may take place in the family home, a Durham County building (e.g. One Point, library), an EHN Base (Sacriston or Leadgate) or a mainstream/specialist school in County Durham.
The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
