The Engineering Technician Role

As a Engineering Technician, your role is to ensure all plant and equipment are maintained to a good standard and according to manufacturers specification, utilising your skills when carrying out planned and reactive maintenance work.

  • To comply with all health, safety, environmental and legal legislation in accordance with the company's procedures
  • To ensure that the expected efficiencies and quality standards relative to the engineering department are met
  • To comply with all training requirements in relation to carrying out the duties of the engineering department
  • Ensures pre-planned maintenance of operating equipment is carried out effectively and efficiently and records work carried out onto the maintenance log
  • To ensure that all Health & Safety policies and procedures within your tasks are complied and fully maintained
Requirements
  • Level 3 BTEC qualified or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Computer literate with some basic knowledge of Chrome
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety at Work and best practice
  • High levels of self discipline and resilience to manage a demanding work load
  • Experience in the FMCG based industry as a maintenance or project engineer would be an advantage
